Q: What are the dates of the Sewing and Stitchery Expo?

A: February 26, 27, 28 and March 1, 2009.

Q: What are the hours of the Sewing and Stitchery Expo? New shopping time!

A: . Shopping begins at 8:30 a.m. Gates open: Thursday - Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m for hands-on classes.

Q: What is the cost of admission?

A: $10 at the door or $9 pre-sale through mail-in registration and selected fabric and quilt stores.

Q: How much is parking?

A: Parking is FREE, courtesy of the Sewing and Stitchery Expo!

Q: Is my admission ticket good for all four (4) days?

A: Because of the costs we incur, you will need to purchase admission tickets for each day you plan to attend.

Q: Where can I find the seminar descriptions and schedule?

A: Please check back after the new year for the 2009 brochure.

Q: How can I register for the seminars?

A: If you are not currently on the mailing list to receive a brochure, you can request one by completing the Request for Brochure. Please check back after the first of the year for a registration form.

Q: What's your best advice for first time visitors to the show?

A: There are a few helpful tips:
  • Register early! Many of the seminars fill up very quickly.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes and plan your schedule with the fairgrounds map in front of you.
  • Allow plenty of time to mingle and browse the exhibits.
  • Experience something new — maybe it's a class on something you never wanted to try.
  • Use the Coat and Package Check for hands-free shopping.
  • Use the Sewing & Stitchery Expo newspaper for easy reference to locate exhibitor and speaker booths. Mark your favorite exhibitors names & #'s on the show floor map to go back to 'get one more thing'! Take the paper home with you to access exhibitor's contact information after the show.

Q: Are wheelchairs available and how much do they cost?

A: Wheelchairs are available free as a courtesy at the Information Booth in the Pavilion building on a first come, first served basis.

Q: Can I bring my wheeled tote?

A: For everyone's security and safety and to prevent injuries, we are asking you to discontinue bringing carts, carriers, and suitcases to the Expo. You may check purchases at the "Coat and Package Check Booth" located on the grounds. We appreciate your compliance.

Q: I am coming from out of town. What hotels or motels are nearby?

Q: What kind of transportation is available from the airport?

Q: How can I contact a speaker or vendor after the Expo?

A: Your Expo newspaper has a list of the vendors/speakers with their phone numbers and addresses. You can also check the web site for a list of vendors.

Q: Can I bring a camera and take pictures in seminars?

A: No, unfortunately that is not allowed due to liability reasons. Most seminars do provide handouts with instructions. Tape recorders, video cameras & phones are not to be used for the same reasons.
